Modern computers are powerful enough to allow us to keep much information in their memory. Of course it is very useful, but problems begin when we try to store large files on floppies or transfer them over the internet. Now we have the opportunity to avoid these problems.
Do you need to accomplish disk-spanning task, such as sharing recorded hours of your last journey across CD-ROMs, or transferring the file that is larger then a floppy to another computer?
The program HJSplit lets you transfer files between computers by breaking them in to peaces that suit media you are using. You can also compare the files to be sure all the data is there, and of course you can rejoin the files.
The interface seemed to be also very simple to use. First of all, I have chosen the appropriate command among several ones presented in the main window. It could be "Split", "Join", "Compare" or "Checksum". Then, with double click on the right command I came to the window, where it was possible to enter the demanded file for further splitting, joining or comparing.
So, as you can see you shouldn't spend any time to understand how HJSplit works, everything is so simple and popular that even a child could manage to deal with HJSplit.
Speaking about the function, which can be realized with the help of HJSplit, I should content myself with mentioning very limited list. Thus, along with splitting files, you can compare two files for absolute equality, generate checksums, and, of course glue the previously split file-parts back together again.
