Storage Measurement Info

Lets see what's the basic storage measurement

1 = a bit

1111 = 4 bits = a nibble

11111111 = 8 bits = 1 byte

11111111 11111111 = 16 bits = 1 word

11111111111111111111111111111111 = 32 bits = Double word

1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 = 64 bits = Quadword

Present Using Technology

8 bits = 1 Byte

1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte ( 10^3 )

1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte ( 10^6 )

1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte ( 10^9 )

1024 Gigabytes = 1 Terabyte ( 10^12 ) ________________________________________________________

Up Next Technology

1024 Terabytes = 1 Petabyte ( 10^15 )

1024 Petabytes = 1 Exabyte ( 10^18 )

1024 Exabyte = 1 Zettabyte ( 10^21 )

1024 Zettabyte = 1 Yottabyte ( 10^24 ) ________________________________________________________

Technology Yet To Be Approved

1024 Yotobytes = 1 Labsisbyte (or) 1 Xennabyte (or) 1 Brontobyte

1024 Labsisbytes = 1 Darthabyte (or) 1 Wekabyte (or) 1 Geopbyte

1024 Darthabyte = 1 Lukabyte (or) 1 Vendekabyte

1024 Lukabyte = 1 Obiwannabyte

After that I’m not sure but doubt we would even have 1 obiwannabyte of technology in 10 worlds in 1000 years but then again you never know what the future holds. You have to remember though as hardware gets better and better the software will also have to get better to support it. From a light switch used to turn on a light to CAT scan, you can’t use the same software for both. You also have to remeber that software gets better because we want it to such as HD television or a high graphic video game.

But the most powerful computer in all is the human brain and sure that if you take all the live minds in the world you would get well over 100 obiwannabytes I’m sure. After all the brain is 17,000,000,000,000,000 terabytes and has the ability to simulate a diffrent dimension (dreams and ideas).
