How to Use Google

There are other ways to use Google other than just searching for web site. Do you know that Google can be used to memorize page? Google acquire an image of each examined page during its check on the internet. The search engine will keeps it in case the original site is not available due to factors like the site has been closed. Click on the Cache link to see the page in the original format like when it was indexed.

There are operators you can use to optimize your search result. If you put a phrase in (“) example like “workaholic woman” Google will deliver the search result containing that phrase. If you put minus (-) before the phrase, it will be excluded from your search.

Google can be used as calculator. Just write the mathematical equation in search box such as 10*543488/100000+455. And press enter. The search engine will show the result of the equation.

Google is an online dictionary. You can use it to search for definition of certain words. Just type the word “define” and the word you wish to find the definition. Example “define” game.

Google will give you similar page of the page when you click on Similar pages. This is very useful feature when you want to shop online and looking for best bargain.

If you want to look for specific site, just type the word “site” followed by the Internet address and searching term.

Some words are ignored by Google in search result as they are considered very common, such as “to”. If you want your searching to have particular words just type plus operator (+) before the words. Example +to+USD

You can find the connections to a page by using the word “link” and site address.

If words are followed by two point (:), it get a special meaning for Google. It is important to have spaces between (:) and the next word to enable this function. If there is space between the words and (:) those words will be treated like usual searching term without special function.

Some other functions that Google offers are maps, stock market and air travel information which only available for United States.
